Il 19 marzo ricorre la tradizionale festa folcloristicoreligiosa dedicata a San Giuseppe, che da qualche anno, nel nostro paese, rifiorisce sempre più ricca nel suo significato di devozione popolare, anche con l’organizzazione di tante e bellissime “Mense” o Cene di San Giuseppe.
I preparativi iniziano mesi prima della festa, impegnativi soprattutto per le donne delle famiglie, che aiutate dai loro comparenti, destinano una stanza della loro casa ove collocare l’altare con la mensa; quest’ultimo viene visitato da paesani e da turisti, a cui vengono offerti pagnotte di pane fatto in casa, il Pane di S. Giuseppe, precedentemente benedetto.
Il giorno di San Giuseppe s'invitano alle mense famiglie di poveri, che rappresentano la Sacra Famiglia in fuga dall’ Egitto, ai quali viene servito il pranzo, tra canti e filastrocche dialettali.
Questa settimana termina con una luminaria dedicata al Santo: è un cumulo di legna da ardere, vecchie sedie, cassette, rottami di barche che viene bruciato in un’atmosfera di allegria, di fastosità.
